Today is the Day!
Taken from Maureen St.Claire’s Facebook Status Today:
Three women dead in one week in Grenada! my heart is saddened today and much love and blessings go out to the families. many comments are revolved around prayer and even though i do beleive in the power of prayer, prayer alone wont work. we need more then prayers! we need individual, family, community, school, nation peace building projects, programs, activities… we need to make peace a way of life! how are we as a nation/globe going to do this! our youth, men, women are in deep crisis. prayer alone is not going to work! we need serious plan to unlearn violence and relearn peace… how do we transform cultures of violence into cultures of peace? there is much work to be done. bless.
In the spirit of taking action…

The members of the Grenadian-American Young Women’s Association would like to express their deepest condolences and sympathy to the families, friends, and loved ones of the women who have been gruesomely, and brutally murdered within the past week, in our homeland Grenada. We would also like to extend our love and support to the Grenadian communities. We admire that we are unifying during a chaotic, and disturbing time of disbelief and horror. We can only voice our dispositions and fight for the perseverance of our beautiful country Grenada, and maintenance of its image and reputation, for being a hidden gem, that is safe for all people to visit, with the friendliest natives.
Lets work towards a better Grenada, in all aspects. Times like these should not be our wake up call. . .
