Written by Donella D. Hosten, Grenadian Poet & Student at St George’s University:

As most people may already know, St George’s University has been hosting The Vagina Monologues for the past four or so years; this year we have decided not to have it. So Being as involved as I am in the V Day movement, I decided to take the initiative to do something that would also serve as a means of a celebrating women! This was how the upcoming event “The Colour of Woman” came about.

The invitation was extended to WAG, the Grenadian public and students of the St George’s University. There are some well known poets/writers e.g. Josiah Bayne, Russel John, Jenna Nakawaga and Shod Baptiste. There will be dancers, dancing to pieces written by different female poets. Hope to see you there!
