A Day in the Life of a Small Island Girl – Stacey Byer

August 27, 2011

Stacey Byer, a talented and driven young Grenadian artist, recently participated in the Art House Coop Sketchbook Project. Here is her absolutely beautiful book which takes us on a delicious journey through the so many parts of the Grenadian visual and cultural landscape… from the fat black, yellow and red caterpillars to cemetery hill. You can flip through the whole book here. One of the things that Stacey and I have discussed recently is her desire to work on public art projects in Grenada… murals etc… I can’t wait to help facilitate that action because I would love to see her stunningly playful and colorful works larger than life and accessible to the public. Wanna see more of her work…check out her blog.

Thanks for commenting… Check out our “Links Worth Linking” section on the right sidebar. I added a link to grenadianyoungartistesunited.wordpress.com. I checked out the site previously and we really impressed by how active it is and the range of posts and videos.

Thank you guys! We really appreciate it. We’re still new, but trying to get the word out there about music by young Grenadian Artistes, although, we encompass artists and dancers as well – it’s all linked. Hopefully, we will have a wider range of things to offer soon. Let’s keep in touch and please have a great week ahead!
