New Arrival

August 6, 2010

Breaking News! The book donations from New York have arrived at their temporary storage space here in Grenada. I spent the extent of the morning moving between the Ministrial Complex, The Port Authority and Customs buildings. I got the books out only paying…

$90 Customs Services Charge  (Next time I will explicitly request exemption and not just taxes)

$7 Ports fee

$25 Broker fee for the Entry Form (This I will definitely do myself next time, I just needed a model that had all the right information for book donations)

Dr. Lowe sponsored the cost transport from the docks.  Thanks!

Big Thank Yous to Everyone who helped us complete this phase…Elizabeth Greenidge the Permanent Seceratary of Education, Leslie Oliverre for answering my questions, Marcii Grey and all the other Officals in shed #1 and Mr. Bridgeman for carrying the books from the docks.
